The British Board of Agrément
The British Board of Agrément is the UK's leading approval body for innovative construction products and their installers and has awarded its BBA Certificates to a number of ICFA members.
BBA Certificates are recognised by specifiers, users and building control personnel throughout the UK and beyond.
The BBA's approval process includes laboratory testing, factory inspections and site visits. Information from these is then drawn together by the BBA's skilled assessors, who then draft the BBA Certificate, taking into account the demands of Building Regulations and other relevant statutory and non-statutory requirements.
As well as its product and installer approvals the BBA also provides inspection services in support of the very successful FENSA scheme, covering the installation of replacement windows and doors in England and Wales.
The BBA is the UK spokesbody in the European Organisation for Technical Approvals (EOTA) and has been designated by Government to issue European Technical Approvals in the UK.
