Quad-Lock UK Profile
Quad-Lock is one of a few ICF companies to develop, manufacture and distribute patented ICF wall and flooring systems. Its training programs for installers and distribution networks are second-to-none in the industry.
Founded in 1994 in Canada with the aim of reducing the cost and increasing the versatility of cast-in-place concrete walls, by the turn of the century Quad-Lock Building Systems Ltd had proven itself as the manufacturer of the most versatile and highest quality forming systems on the market. Building on its steady and successful growth in Canada and the USA, Quad-Lock has extended its distribution network through Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
In 2004, Quad-Lock (England) Ltd commenced trading in the UK; since then, it has experienced growth averaging the equivalent of doubling sales year on year. In 2007 larger premises were acquired to accommodate the increased flow of business.
In the course of achieving this growth, Quad-Lock (England) Ltd has been noteworthy for the innovative use its clients have made of the Quad-Lock system, demonstrating its versatility with a series of imaginative and stylish buildings including:
- Cawston Park – a specialist care home that broke new ground in the use of Quad-Lock for building extreme shapes very quickly. http://www.quadlock.co.uk/insulated_concrete_forms/
- ‘Moonstone’ – a private client’s project, comprising a very extensive residential property that exploited the advantage of the Quad-Lock systems load carrying capabilities.

Full UK (BBA) certification for the product was obtained in July 2006 and European (ETA) certification in January 2007. By that time, there were over 50 UK projects in place, some 30+ constructors had been trained directly in the use of the system, and CPD programmes had been run for over 100 architects.
Quad-Lock (England) Ltd has in place the infrastructure and services to support all potential users from self-builders through to multiple commercial property developers. There are tailored programmes providing access to technical assistance – engineers, surveyors, architects – from professionals conversant with ICF. Quad-Lock continues to work in partnership with these specialists and its clients to achieve many more years of profitable growth.
